Just These — Support
Share your phone, not your privacy.
Email monalisasingh97@gmail.com and you'll get a reply within a couple of days. Including your iPhone model and iOS version makes it much faster to sort out.
Getting started
- Open Just These and allow access to your photos. It needs this to show you your own library — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- Set a PIN when prompted. This is what ends a handover, so pick something you'll remember.
- Tap the photos you want to show. They're numbered in the order you pick them.
- Tap Start Handover, then pass the phone across.
- To get back, tap the lock icon and use Face ID, Touch ID, or your PIN.
Common questions
I forgot my PIN.
There is no recovery, by design — a PIN that could be reset by whoever is holding the phone wouldn't protect anything. If you enabled "Unlock with device passcode" you can get out with Face ID or your iPhone passcode. Otherwise, deleting and reinstalling the app clears the PIN. Your photos are never affected: Just These only reads your library and never modifies it.
My guest styled a photo. Did that change my original?
No. "Style it" keeps only a recipe — a crop and a colour look — while you decide what to send. When you send, the app makes a new copy with those edits, and your original stays exactly as it was. Prefer to send the originals? Turn off "Send them styled" before you tap Share.
Can my guest take a screenshot?
iPhone does not allow any app to block screenshots, so Just These cannot prevent one. It does warn you on screen the instant a screenshot is taken during Handover Mode.
My guest closed the app. Are my photos exposed?
No. Force-quitting during a handover reopens into Handover Mode, not your library. And with "Require passcode to open" enabled, opening the app at all needs your passcode.
How do I clear my selection?
Tap Clear & Exit at the top of the gallery. Your selection stays put after a handover so you can show the same photos to someone else without picking them again, and Clear & Exit is how you put it down. No viewing history is ever kept either way.
Does Just These need the internet?
No, and it has no networking code at all. It cannot upload, sync, or back up your photos. There is no account and no cloud.
Does it work on Android?
The app is built for both platforms. See the App Store or Google Play listing for current availability.
